Tesco 25% Off Deal

Tesco Winestore are offering 25% off all wine if you buy half a case this weekend, the offer is good in store too. They are including sparkling wine and sherry as well as anything that's already on special offer. If you have a favourite branded wine it's worth checking them out as they do stock a wide range.

Here's some Tesco wines I've tried in the past. Enjoy.

Amazon Virgin Wines Voucher

The good people at Amazon sent me a wine voucher with my order again. This time it wasn't a Laithwaite's Voucher, but one for Virgin Wines. I've bought from them before, they're reliable, the wines are reasonable value and if you hate any of them they'll replace them (although I've never tested this promise).

All I have to do is go to www.virginwines.com/amazon40 using the codeAMAZWB40 and the password WINEBANK to get £40 off. They're tempting me with a super duper case offer that has an extra £20 off so I only need to pay £40 for a case of wine 'worth £40', although that's always subjective. I'll go have a look.

Thresher's 2007 Voucher Has Landed

Threshers have released their 40% off wine voucher for Christmas 2007. You can download it here.

It's only good until 9th December so if you want to use it you'll need to get to work quickly. Remember though that Majestic are offering 50% off some Champagnes and there are plenty of other offers out there, so it's not a guarantee of the best price available if you're shopping for a crowd.

£25 off Laithwaites Wine Voucher

The good people at Laithwaites have struck a deal with Amazon to bring you a £25 wine voucher. I received one with a recent Amazon order. Tucked in with all the marketing gumpf was a coupon offering me £25 off any case over the value of £69.99. All you need to do is order something from Amazon to get one. That's a really good offer.

Laithwaites don't stock many of the big brand names you might expect to find on a supermarket shelf. They focus on finding smaller parcels of good value wines, so you have the chance to experiment. I've tasted a few Laithwaites wines, the notes are here.

My three vouchers said to go to www.laithwaites.co.uk and to enter the unique voucher code AMAZON at checkout to get a £25 discount, but I can only use one of them as there is a one voucher per customer rule.

40% Off Thresher Voucher Christmas 2007

Last year Thresher caused quite a stir with their 40% off all wine voucher. Everybody had one and everyone used it. It's a good deal, but not a great one. The standard offer is buy two, get one free, roughly 33% off on still wines, but at least with the voucher you don't have to worry about buying in multiples of three.

The voucher is more use on sparkling wines which are normally excluded from the 3-4-2 deal. I've had a few good Thresher's wines, so I'll be happy to get my Thresher voucher this year. If you want one, pre-register here and they'll send you one.

I'll look out for other good deals in the run up to Christmas. right now you can buy Tesco wine in store and get 25% off any mixed case of six.

It would be rude not to

The good people at Thresher are offering selected people 40% everything. Yes 40% off all wine, including Champagne and sparkling. And guess what - you're selected. Download the Threshers coupon here, print it and get 40% off. Hurrah!

Threshers seem to have started the promotion by adding the coupon to a few big companies intranets, but now it's in the wild. Ordinarily Threshers do a 3 for 2 deal, so there wines are somewhat overpriced singly, but when you buy three they work out to around supermarket prices. This coupon takes them lower, and can be used on Champagne, which isn't always in the deal.

You can only spend £500 per coupon. Boo! But you can always print a new coupon. Hurrah!
You can buy books to help you decide what you want to buy, or even a copy of Sideways or Mondovino, with 20% off at Borders too.
